In the evening, I found out this article on my sister's magazine... I was curious what the magazine was all about. I asked my sister if I can borrow it. Good thing that she allowed me to borrow her magazine. I scan for myself the contents of the magazine. Some of it was about poems.. About my sister's school.. Student life ( oh!! I really miss my student life)..
Finally, as I continue to scan the contents of the magazine, I found this article. It says " Top 5 Social Networking Sites"
It looked interesting for me. According to the article, they surveyed 28 people who they think which are the top 5 SNS ( Social Networking Sites).

Did you ever get excited to talk about your day on blogger, Tumblr, and multiply? Joking Aside, studies say that teenagers spend tons of hours a day using the computer and surfing the internet. To be specific. The typical sites that today's teenagers visit are the Social Networking Sites (SNS). followed by online games.
As more and more sites appear on the face of the world wide web, the competition between them is on. Many started new gimmicks to outshine the others and to be called the "best". The question is which gimmick caught the users attention the most. The challenge which social networking site do you prefer-- facebook, Twitter, Plurk, multiply, Myspace, Friendster Tumblr or Formspring? The top 5 most wanted sites as follows:
Top 5: Plurk and Tumblr
Plurk is a social networking site that helps you posts a quick blog on what you're currently doing. With cute emoticons and the crazy karma meter. Plurk hits the top 5 chart. Aside from the updates you post. you could also follow what's new with your friends. Plurk appeals to users mostly because of it's obligatory effect to update every 24 hours. Who would want to have a karma down?
Tumblr pics are the latest. The lyrics broken hearted quotes. The silly jokes and the song lyrics we get tagged in facebook comes from the expressive tumblr users. Tumblr allows you to post not only pictures but blogs, videos, quotes and music as well. It is a whole new dimension of blogging that keep everyone writing and reading blogs.
Top 4: Friendster
It may seem that many have overtaken Friendster in the lead but continues to outshine the rest. in the rest. In fairness to friendster, it upgraded and added more and more feautures. No wonder it's still on top. ( Thumbs Up!)
Top 3: Multiply
Who would ever for get about multiply? Starting as not so popular site, Multiply actually managed to win over Myspace, one of the best networking sites in the globe, in our survey. The awesome blogging experience and chance to get the news on your friends as well as meeting new ones makes multiply users want more. The cool part now is that just like other sites, Multiply also added the instant messaging feature to the other great stuff they offer. As other social networking sites today do everything to get noticed and be wanted by many users, Multiply just continue to multiply and multiply its population.
Top 2: Twitter
People say that their number two would no other than Twitter. Who wouldn't agree? Twitter got every user dying to sign up even celebrities worldwide. As a matter of fact, most news, from Hollywood to serious ones, come from Twitter posts. Indeed, Twitter deserves to be on number 2.
Top 1: Facebook
If it was possible to put a ten-tenenen music here (hahaha !!) , it would be better suited for Facebook's victory. The votes of Facebook was a landslide. There are no doubts. From Pet Society to Farmville to Restaurant City and Social Interviews, there's nothing more you can asked for. With the instant messaging feature plus the twitter-like feature that allows users to post quick updates also hits the spot. Facebook, truly is number one. no questions asked.
It's really good that 5 out of 5 websites that I am using are in the top 5 social networking sites. Although the other websites are not in the top 5 list, they are also equally great. Whatever social networking site you choose. It's really up to me.
